Dear Valued Friends and Colleagues of Block O’Toole & Murphy,
To begin, we hope that you and your loved ones have stayed safe and healthy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the widespread distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, it remains crucial that we all work together to support those who have been affected by the virus and to protect those still at risk.
The safety of our employees, clients, and colleagues is of utmost importance to us. When the situation first began to escalate in New York City in early 2020, our team worked quickly to ensure that all employees had the ability to work from home. Now, as courts across the state return to in-person operation and New York City has largely reopened in accordance with CDC guidelines, our office has fully returned to in-person work beginning June 1st, 2021.
We will continue to adhere to New York State and federal guidelines to ensure our staff and visitors remain safe. Face coverings continue to be required in building common areas and elevators. Only staff who have proven to be fully vaccinated (understood to be two weeks post all necessary vaccine shots) will be allowed to remove their face covering while in the office. Staff and visitors that are not fully vaccinated must wear masks while moving through the office.
Our firm continues to work tirelessly on our existing client cases, settling matters, and signing new ones. Throughout the period of remote work, we settled cases for $1.325 million, $3.5 million, $1.2 million, $1.6 million, $1.65 million, $1.35 million, $2.75 million, $3 million, $4 million, $4.5 million, $3.5 million, $2.25 million, $2.9 million, $9 million, and $10.5 million. Overall, we attained $150 million for clients in 2020 alone. We strive to help those in our community who have been negatively impacted in an accident and require legal assistance.
